Working in Dayton
What junk removal in Dayton actually involves
Dayton work skews bigger. Between the postwar single-family neighborhoods, a large stock of vacant and inherited property, and the garages and outbuildings that come with them, the calls up here are more often "clear the whole thing" than "take this couch." Those are the jobs we are built for — a 15-foot box truck and a 7×14 dump trailer working the same address, so a full-property clear-out does not turn into four trips.
Montgomery County has a high share of older single-family homes with detached garages, sheds and full basements — and a meaningful number of estate and foreclosure properties moving through sale each year. That produces two distinct jobs: the whole-house cleanout on an executor or realtor timeline, and the outbuilding tear-down where the shed has to come apart before anything can be hauled.

What actually changes the job here
-
Driveways mean we get close to the door
Most Dayton properties we work on have a driveway we can back the trailer onto. That single fact makes a big job here cheaper than the same volume in a dense neighborhood — the carry is measured in feet rather than in half-blocks, so the labor side of the quote comes down.
-
The detached garage is its own job
Postwar Dayton housing almost always came with a detached garage, and forty years later that garage is holding a workbench, tires, paint, lumber offcuts and a lawnmower that has not run since the last owner. We price it as part of the property rather than as a separate visit.
-
Two units, one trip
For whole-property clearances we bring the 15-foot box truck and the 7×14 dump trailer to the same address. Enclosed for furniture and anything weather-sensitive, open-top for debris and yard waste. It is the difference between finishing a Dayton estate in a day and dragging it across a week of return runs.
-
Vacant and inherited property
A good share of the work up here is on houses nobody has lived in for months — utilities off, no lighting, sometimes no working lock. We bring our own light and we will tell you plainly if a property needs securing before we can leave it open while we load.

What it costs in Dayton
Dayton pricing, same as everywhere else we go
Dayton jobs run on the same load-size rates as everywhere else, and because most properties here have a driveway we can back onto, the labor side of a big clearance is usually lower than the equivalent job in a dense neighborhood. Dayton is about 45 minutes from the shop, so some jobs up here do carry a travel fee — you will see it in the quote you approve rather than on the invoice afterwards.

FAQ
Junk removal in Dayton — your questions
Do you actually come up to Dayton, or is it just listed?
We work Dayton and Montgomery County regularly — it is about 45 minutes up SR-4 from our Hamilton shop. Jobs farther out can carry a travel fee, and if one applies to yours it is in the quote you approve before we book.
I am the executor on my mother’s house. Where do we even start?
Send us photos, or we will come out and walk it with you at no charge. We sort as we go and set aside anything that looks personal or valuable rather than tossing it, and we work to your closing or settlement date. If you live out of state, you do not need to be there — we can do the whole job by phone and text.
Can you take down the shed as well as clear the house?
Yes. Sheds, decks, fences and hot tubs come apart and get hauled in the same visit — it is one job to us, not a demolition contractor plus a hauler.
How is a whole-house cleanout priced?
By how much space it fills in the truck. A full load is $725, and most whole-house cleanouts start there and go up depending on volume, heavy materials, stairs and access. We confirm the number before anything gets loaded — with you there, or by phone if you are not.
Dayton, let’s get it hauled.
Send a few photos and we’ll price it fast. If it’s easier, just call — a real person picks up.
